A Family Farm, Five Generations in the Making
The Snell family has been farming in Somerset for over five generations, working across dairy, beef, pigs, poultry and even cider production. Today, the farm is home to a pedigree herd of Longhorn cattle and is a proud producer of premium, grass-fed beef—served exclusively in The Trough, our on-site café and restaurant.
From Dairy Farm to Distinctive Stays
Following the decision to sell the dairy herd and diversify, the family collaborated with a local award-winning architect to create our collection of state-of-the-art apartments. Designed with a traditional façade on one side and striking zinc and glass on the other, The Farmyard blends beautifully into the landscape while embracing a forward-thinking approach to rural hospitality.
